Among those partners is Dr. Gregory M. Erickson, one of only 150 full-time professional dinosaur paleontologists in the world!

Working with leading paleontologists helps us to create new exhibitions on the forefront of research. Ice Dinosaurs will be a 5,000 to 10,000 sq foot exhibition featuring the latest research found in Alaska on paleontology.

ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Paleo-Arctic displays newly discovered Arctic-dwelling dinosaurs never-before-seen in an exhibition. Built around groundbreaking discoveries that are expanding the traditional understanding of dinosaur physiology, provinciality, and migration, ICE DINOSAURS invites visitors to learn about the unique adaptations of polar dinosaurs while interacting with actual fossils and museum-grade casts. About Dr. Gregory Erickson:

Dr. Erickson’s research focuses primarily on dinosaur growth, life history, physiology, behavior, and feeding biomechanics. He has published over 100 scientific papers and has participated in over 50 expeditions, including trips to the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, Romania, and the Alaskan Arctic. Dr. Erickson holds research appointments with the American Museum of Natural History in New York, The Field Museum in Chicago, and University of Alaska’s Museum of the North in Fairbanks, and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a National Geographic Explorer. Dr. Gregory Erickson has worked on exhibitions including Dinosaurs Around The World, Dinosaur Explorer, and Dino Safari! Get to know more about Dr. Erickson with an interview on our blog.
