Gigantic Trolls Will Begin Worldwide Journey in New Spectacular Exhibition

[February 7, 2024 - Atlanta, GA and Copenhagen, Denmark] - Imagine Exhibitions is thrilled to announce the next iteration in our partnership with celebrated Danish artist and sculptor, Thomas Dambo, who will create an extraordinary new outdoor traveling exhibition set to captivate audiences across Europe, North America, and beyond. The new traveling exhibition is set to open in Europe, offering a unique outdoor experience for visitors of all ages. Each Troll featured in his new exhibition called Trolls: A Field Study will be crafted exclusively for this new tour, and will be built using recycled materials, including fallen branches and twigs, wooden pallets, and more.

Thomas Dambo, widely recognized for his awe-inspiring sculptures and environmentally conscious art installations, brings his unique vision and creativity to this collaboration. With an impressive portfolio of works that seamlessly blend nature, storytelling, and sustainability, Dambo's art has garnered international acclaim. His artistic journey has led him to create artwork with recycled materials in more than 25 countries across five continents, with a long-term goal of a “trail of 1,000 trolls.”

Dambo expressed his excitement about the collaboration stating: "Art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and spark a connection with our surroundings. I am thrilled to partner with Imagine Exhibitions again to share my work with a broader audience.”

Tom Zaller, President and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions said: “Bringing the next evolution of Thomas Dambo’s work to tour in Europe is not just a creative endeavor; it's a strategic leap to expand our portfolio of outdoor exhibitions on a global scale. As a CEO, I believe in supporting artists, unlocking expression, transcending boundaries, and connecting with diverse audiences. We are very proud to support Dambo and look forward to presenting his new exhibition abroad.”

The traveling exhibition is set to embark on its journey starting in Europe, with specific venues and dates to be announced soon. Following its debut, the showcase will be available for viewing in various locations during the spring of 2025 and beyond, ensuring that a wide audience has the opportunity to experience Dambo's creations.

Thomas Dambo’s first collaboration with Imagine Exhibitions, TROLLS: Save the Humans, debuted as a world premiere at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in the winter of 2023 where it brought a record-setting visitor attendance. TROLLS: Save the Humans is now open at The Philadelphia Zoo.
