    Dinosaurs Around the World: XTREME

In this super-sized dinosaur adventure, guests travel the globe to discover over 35 advanced animatronic dinosaurs, educational activities, fossils, authentic casts, dino rides, and so much more!

About

Created in collaboration with world-renowned dinosaur paleontologist, Professor Gregory M. Erickson, Dinosaurs Around the World: XTREME represents the next generation of traveling dinosaur exhibitions. In this super-sized dinosaur adventure, guests travel the globe to discover the huge assortment of dinosaurs living on each of the seven continents during the Age of Reptiles. The exhibition features over 35 advanced animatronic dinosaurs (with 27 different varieties, including 8 feathered dinos), fossils, authentic casts, 2 stationary dinosaur rides, 2 walking dinosaur rides, and so much more! Accented by a multi-layered narrative, Dinosaurs Around the World: XTREME brings the world of Pangea to life like never before.

Dinosaurs were the dominant terrestrial animals throughout the Mesozoic Era (also known as the Age of Reptiles). During their remarkable 172-million-year reign, they adapted into a variety of forms from long-necked herbivores as large as whales, to the tall and mighty T. rex! Continental drift, and the land bridges that would appear and disappear over time due to sea level fluctuations and volcanic activity, allowed dinosaurs to disperse to all corners of the globe, leaving each of the Earth’s seven continents with its own unique assortment of these giant reptiles.

Testimonial
  • The opening day of DINO WORLD attracted over 4,000 visitors and was the best we’ve ever had at our annual summer exhibition series in Munich. That’s a 200% increase from our average opening day attendance! (* DINO WORLD was the alternate title used by this venue for Dinosaurs Around the World XTREME)

Educational Materials

We provide instructors with essential questions to ask students at each area and a lesson that explores and expands on the ideas presented.

Our research and interpretive text is also the basis for our Educator Guides. Developed during the second half of our 360° process, these guides contain classroom modules for students to use before arrival and after their experience, with accompanying activities for the exhibition visit itself.
